Amidst the ongoing geopolitical tensions which have impacted the LPG Supply chain,
the Government of Sikkim has undertaken various measures to ensure uninterrupted
and equitable supply of LPG in the State.
1. Kerosene as an alternate supply
To expand the alternate sources of cooking fuel in the state, the Food & Civil Supplies Department has now made Kerosene available at the identified petrol pumps of the State, for distribution to migrant laborers on priority.
Eligible migrant laborers can now avail Kerosene from the following pumps strictly for use as cooking fuel:
SL. NO. | DISTRICT | PETROL PUMPS WHERE KEROSENE IS AVAILABLE

Migrant laborers are requested to visit their nearest identified petrol pumps for availing kerosene at maximum 20 liters per person at government notified rates.
2. Establishment of District Control Rooms
The Government of Sikkim has established ‘District Control Rooms’ in all the six districts to monitor the equitable distribution of LPG supply and to address
grievances of consumers.
LPG consumers may reach out to the following helpline number of ‘District Control Rooms’ for any complaints/suggestions:

13. The Food & Civil Supplies Department and all District Control Rooms are continuously monitoring the LPG distribution centers to ensure against black
marketing and hoarding. (Photographs of the surprise inspections in LPG booking office, LPG go downs and delivery points are enclosed)
14. The State Government is committed to providing a uninterrupted supply of LPG
cylinders in these trying times; however, the public should be mindful that distribution is dependent on supply received from the Government of India which at present is steady. We request for judicious use of LPG or combining it with alternate sources for cooking, such as electric induction cook tops, electric rice cookers, firewood and kerosene.
The public are requested to report any conduct of black marketing, hoarding,
overcharging or other malpractices in the state for immediate corrective action.
We appeal for your patience and understanding.
