Gyalshing District Administration Concludes Two Days Comprehensive Visit to Karzi-Mangnam
Gyalshing, November 10 (IPR):District Collector Gyalshing Mr Tenzing D Denzongpa , accompanied by officers and representatives from major departments of Gyalshing District Administration, concluded a two- day extensive tour to Karzi-Mangnam,the highly remote areas of Gyalshing District,today.
On the consecutive day of the comprehensive inspection and interaction,the team, led by District Collector Gyalshing visited :
1. Govt. Primary School, Middle Pokhari, the team conducted a thorough inspection of the current basic amenities and facilities at the school. DC Gyalshing even lended a patient attention to each aspiration presented by the school faculty and assured them of extending all possible support from the District Administration Gyalshing.
The DC urged panchayats to be proactive in elevating the stature of the school, encouraging collective and voluntary efforts to ensure that essential facilities are provided to the students at the school. The DC provided much-needed intervention and assistance that, ensured students will be equipped with essential furniture, adequate water supply, and functioning washrooms at the school.
2. Karjee Mangnam GPK (01); After inspecting the current infrastructure and facilities at GPK, the team proceeded towards the common hall, where detailed deliberation on public-centric initiatives undertaken through the Panchayat at the GPU was emphasised. Grievances presented by the Panchayats and the public at the short interaction programme were highlighted, and stringent guidelines were issued to stakeholder departments for upholding their bestowed responsibilities within the stipulated time.
3. At the Karjee Branch Training Center of the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, Government of Sikkim, the team had a brief interaction with the artisans and trainees engaged in the training of making woolen carpets.
4. The team also visited the remains of the old Karjee Panchayat Bhawan, situated in the vicinity of the Karjee Branch Training Center, established in 1988. DC Gyalshing advised the panchayats and community members of Karjee to work collectively to restore the glory of the bhawan and rejuvenate its historical significance according to its utilization in today's time.
5. At the Health and Wellness Centre Karjee, the team took stock of the available amenities and extended facilities.
6. At Government Secondary School Karjee/CM-Shri Secondary School Karjee, the visiting team, upon arrival at the school, had a short interaction with teachers and then proceeded toward the Auditorium Hall of the school for a formal programme.
DC Gyalshing, in his address, encouraged teachers to uphold the responsibility of shaping the future generation of the state and work diligently towards this purpose, irrespective of any hindrances faced. He advised teachers to inculcate a positive approach and quoted two lines of encouragement : "Self Confidence Is The First Step To Success" and "Give the World the Best You Have, and the World Will Give the Best to You. "
CEO Education Gyalshing Mr PG Bhutia briefly outlined that the primary reason for the visit to the CM-Shri Government Senior Secondary School Karjee was to sensitize about the extended provisions and embeded guidelines upon being selected as a CM-Shri school in the district.
DC Gyalshing,during his visit to the schools, even checked the quality of the mid -day meal provided at the school.
7. Thereafter, the team inspected the VLW Centre Karjee, PWD Guest House , and Rural Marketing situated at Pokhari, Norkhola.
The inspection team comprised of SP Gyalshing Mr Tshering Sherpa, CEO Education Department Gyalshing Mr Pema G Bhutia, Deputy Director Education Mr Dinesh Pradhan, RO-Cum-Deputy Director Yuksam Mr Amrit Raj Rai,DE Power Department Gyalshing Mr Kalzang Tenzing Bhutia, DPO DDMA (LR&DMD) Gyalshing Mr Ganesh Rai, Aspirational Block Fellow Chongrang Mr Karma Chogyal Bhutia, officials from SIRD & PR (Karfectar), Zilla Panchayat, panchayats, and departmental officials.
Later, DC Gyalshing,accompanied by SP Gyalshing and officers, sought blessings at the hallowed Karma Rabdenling Goenpa of Ralong near Rabongla, Namchi District, the oldest Karma Kagyu Goenpa of Sikkim, built around 1730 AD by Miwang Gyurmed Namgyal, the fourth Denjong Chogyal.
Thereafter, they extended prayers at Densa Palchen Chosling Monastery, also situated at Ralong, Namchi District, which transcended the extensive two-day public-centric outreach initiative of the District Administration Gyalshing into a spiritually profound culmination.
