Golden Competitions Grand Finale Culminates with Announcement of Winners


Namchi, 20 January (IPR): The Grand Finale of the state-level Golden Competitions—Golden Feet of Sikkim, Golden Beat of Sikkim, and Golden Voice of Sikkim—held in conjunction with the 71st Maghey Sankranti Mela 2026, concluded successfully at the Jorethang Playground.

The Chief Minister of Sikkim, Mr Prem Singh Tamang, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Cabinet Ministers, Members of the Legislative Assembly, the Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, the Press Secretary to the Chief Minister, Advisors, Chairpersons, Heads of Departments, and other distinguished dignitaries.

The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation from dancers, bands, and individual singers from across the state, offering a vibrant platform for young talents to showcase their creativity, skill, and passion.

In the Golden Feet of Sikkim dance competition, Dynamic Flickers Dance Academy emerged as the winner, followed by Tapashree Gagan Dance Academy in second place, while Demazong Tribe Dance Academy secured the third position.

Similarly, in the Golden Beat of Sikkim band competition, Mana clinched the first position, Roll Heads stood second, and Akhanda achieved the third position.

Meanwhile, in the Golden Voice of Sikkim singing competition, Mr Subash Darjee was declared the winner. Ms Sumi Hangma Subba secured the second position, while Ms Sushila Bala Rai was awarded the third position.

The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes and certificates by the Chief Guest, marking a memorable conclusion to the grand finale of the Golden Competitions.
