Soreng, April 21 (IPR):
A meeting of the District Level Implementing and Monitoring Committee (DLIMC) on Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) was convened today at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Soreng, under the chairmanship of the District Collector (Soreng) Mr Dhiraj Subedi.
At the outset, the Chair reviewed the agenda and enquired about the status of implementation across all components of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) computerization in the district.
The committee deliberated on establishing a robust mechanism to ensure that all PACS declared as E-PACS consistently complete their daily transactions and day-end processes. Emphasis on the need for regular monitoring, accountability measures, and adherence to prescribed protocols to maintain operational efficiency and transparency was discussed.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the Document Archival and Retrieval System (DARS). It was intimated that all documents identified for digitization are uploaded in the Legacy Documents Module by the System Integrator in a timely manner. Further, the respective PACS were intimated to ensure proper verification and authentication of the uploaded documents to maintain data integrity.
A comprehensive review of the progress of computerization of PACS was undertaken. The District Collector enquired about current status, identified gaps, and discussed challenges affecting implementation. The Chair further suggested identifying new services to be integrated to enhance their efficiency and outreach.
Under other matters, issues related to effective implementation and monitoring were discussed, with emphasis on improved coordination among stakeholders.
The meeting concluded with directions for timely resolution of challenges and adherence to implementation timelines.
