Mangan, August 4 (IPR): A meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) on the District Irrigation Plan (DIP) under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana Har Khet Ko Pani (PMKSY-HKKP) and the District Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM) Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) was held today at the Conference Hall of the District Collectorate, Mangan.
The meeting was chaired by DC Mangan -cum-chairperson, Mr Anant Jain and attended by ADC (Development) Mr Karma Thendup Bhutia, DE, Water Resources Department, Mr Karma Z Bhutia, Joint Director, Agriculture, Mr Zigmee D Denzongpa, Deputy Director, Agriculture, Mr Dup Tshering Bhutia, Deputy Director, Agriculture, Mr Pramit Gurung, Assistant Engineers (AEs) and Junior Engineers (JEs) from RDD, BAC Chungthang, representatives from RDD Mangan and officials from the concerned departments.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed proposals under PMKSY-HKKP, examined irrigation projects submitted by the Water Resources Department and discussed their inclusion in the approved District Irrigation Plan. The implementation status and progress of DWSM/JJM across BAC Mangan, Kabi, Chungthang and other project areas were also reviewed with emphasis on inter departmental coordination and resolving field level issues.
The meeting concluded with directions to all departments to ensure the timely implementation of irrigation and drinking water projects through effective coordination and proper documentation.
