DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING ON MY BHARAT HELD IN GYALSHING

Gyalshing, September 9 (IPR): A District Advisory Committee meeting to discuss the implementation of the MY Bharat programme, cooperation in youth-related activities, the registration drive on the MY Bharat portal, Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027, and other related matters was held at the Conference Hall, District Administrative Centre (DAC), Rabdentse, Gyalshing, today.

The meeting was chaired by the District Collector-cum-Chairman, MY Bharat Gyalshing, Mr Tenzing D. Denzongpa. The meeting was attended by CMO Gyalshing Mr Namgay Bhutia, CEO Education Mr Rajesh Thapa, SDM Dentam Mr N. K. Karki, BDO Gyalshing Mr Garap Bhutia, DIO Gyalshing Mr Rajen Tamang, Welfare Officer Mr Pranay Subba, Resource Person Mr Pradeep Baisla District Youth Officer MY Bharat Gyalshing MOYAS, along with bank heads, heads of educational institutions and officials from various departments.

The meeting focused on strengthening the implementation of the MY Bharat initiative and encouraging greater participation of young people in activities aimed at realising the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue seeks to provide young citizens with a platform to develop and present innovative ideas on nation-building, with outstanding participants getting an opportunity to present their ideas before the Hon’ble Prime Minister.

The meeting highlighted the five-stage selection process for VBYLD 2027, comprising the Online Quiz (August 17–September 30, 2026), Essay Writing Competition (October 5–9, 2026), District Championship, State-level VBYLD and the National Dialogue. Participation in all stages is free of charge.

The programme features four major competition tracks:

Viksit Bharat Challenge Track: Covering 10 thematic areas, including future governance, climate security, demographic dividend, sustainable industrialisation and green growth.

Cultural Track: Featuring district- and state-level competitions in folk dance, folk song, painting, poetry and declamation.

Innovate for Bharat: Comprising initiatives such as Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause and the Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge, aimed at encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship among young people.

Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament: Providing young leaders with an opportunity to engage in policy formulation, discussion and debate on issues concerning the nation.

Addressing the gathering, the District Collector emphasised the importance of active participation of young citizens in the MY Bharat initiative and urged educational institutions, departments and stakeholders to facilitate wider registration and participation among the youth of the district. He highlighted the role of young people in contributing ideas and solutions towards building a developed and self-reliant India by 2047.

All schools, colleges and eligible young citizens of Gyalshing District have been encouraged to participate in the national campaign and make use of the opportunities provided under MY Bharat and VBYLD 2027.
