Gangtok, March 11: Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang, met a media delegation from Meghalaya currently on a six-day exposure visit to Sikkim.
The delegation comprised ten members representing eight media houses from Meghalaya along with two officials from the Press Information Bureau, Shillong. The team was accompanied by Mr Manas Sarma, Smt. Annapurna Alley, IPR Secretary, Mr Yougan Tamang, Press Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Mr Sunil Mothey.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister highlighted the Government of Sikkim’s key development initiatives, with particular emphasis on sustainable growth, organic farming, and environmental conservation that have strengthened Sikkim’s identity as the Green State of the Nation.
The discussion also covered the implementation of welfare schemes and the progress of infrastructure development across vital sectors such as health, education, rural development, and tourism.
