Chief Minister Attends Historic Women’s International Football Friendly at Paljor Stadium

Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang accompanied by his spouse Madam Krishna Rai and his cabinet colleagues graced an extraordinary evening at the iconic Paljor Stadium, witnessing the first-ever international friendly match between the Senior Women’s Football Teams of India and Nepal.
The Chief Minister expressed immense pride in witnessing the talented women athletes from both nations showcase exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship on such a historic occasion. He mentioned that the event serves as a remarkable tribute as Sikkim celebrates 50 glorious years of Statehood.
Extending his greetings, the Chief Minister conveyed heartiest congratulations to the Nepal team for their win and offered his best wishes to both teams for their future endeavours.
Acknowledging the overwhelming enthusiasm of the crowd, he lauded the passionate Sikkimese football fans whose energy and support, he said, make such moments truly special.
The Chief Minister further encouraged continued celebration and promotion of women’s football, urging everyone to keep the football spirit alive.
