80th Independence Day Celebrated with Patriotic Fervour at DAC Soreng
Soreng, 15 August (IPR): The District Administration, Soreng, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great patriotic zeal and solemnity at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Soreng.
The programme commenced with a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by the Soreng District Police and 2nd IRBn Pipalay to the District Collector Soreng, and the Superintendent of Police, Soreng. The ceremony reflected the discipline, dedication, and commitment of the police force while paying tribute to the nation on this historic occasion.
Following the Guard of Honour, the gathering joined in the rendition of the National Song, filling the venue with a spirit of patriotism, unity, and pride. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, during which all dignitaries, officers, staff members, and attendees stood in solemn respect, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of the Constitution and the unity and integrity of the nation.
The observance of the 80th Independence Day at DAC Soreng reflected the District Administration’s commitment to fostering national pride, unity, and the values of democracy among citizens.
The celebration witnessed the participation of DC Soreng Mr Dhiraj Subedi, SP Soreng Mr Nahkul Pradhan, ADC Soreng Mr DR Bista, ASP Soreng Mr Parshu Ram Sharma, ADC Development Mr Ongdi Sherpa, SDM(HQ) Mr Prem K Subba, SDM Soreng Ms Sakchum Lepcha, HODs and government officials, police personnel and employees of various departments.
