Soreng, September 10 (IPR): The closing ceremony of the 80th Independence Day Celebration Committee (IDCC), Soreng district, was held today at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Soreng, marking the formal conclusion and dissolution of the Committee.
The IDCC was formally dissolved by its President and District Collector, Soreng, Mr Dhiraj Subedi, during the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Dhiraj Subedi expressed his gratitude to all officials, stakeholders, contributors and members of the public who extended their support and cooperation towards making the Independence Day celebrations a success. He further expressed hope that the same spirit of dedication, commitment and selfless service would continue to be demonstrated by all Heads of Departments (HoDs), officers and officials and stakeholders in the days to come.
As part of the closing ceremony, a felicitation programme was also organised to acknowledge and appreciate the valuable contributions and support extended by individuals and stakeholders towards the successful organisation of the Independence Day celebrations in the district.

During the programme, Treasurer and Chief Pay and Accounts Officer (Soreng), Mr Rakesh Sharma presented the financial statement of the IDCC, including details of the expenditure incurred and contributions received in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.
Initially, the programme commenced with a welcome address delivered by ADC (Soreng) Mr DR Bista, and concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by MEO (SNP) Mr Roshan Sharma.
