35th National Strength Lifting and Incline Bench Press Championship 2025

Gangtok, November 11 (IPR):

The second day of the 35th National Strength Lifting and Incline Bench Press Championship 2025, held at the Indoor Badminton Court, Paljor Stadium, Gangtok, witnessed the commencement of events including Incline Bench Press, Two-Hand Bicep Curl, and Hack Lift across various weight categories. Chairman, SIMFED, Mr Tenzing Dorjee Bhutia graced the occasion as the chief guest.

In his address, Mr Tenzing Dorjee Bhutia expressed gratitude to the organisers for inviting him to the championship and extended his best wishes to all participating athletes. He noted that such sporting events serve as a positive platform for youth, encouraging them to channel their energy towards constructive and disciplined pursuits. He also shared that, with his support, a youth participant from the state had previously secured a bronze medal in a similar national-level competition held in Gujarat. He concluded by extending a warm welcome to all the participants representing various states in this year’s championship.
