11 SGAY Houses Inaugurated in Yuksam-Tashiding.

Gyalshing, August 31 (IPR): Eleven newly constructed houses under the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana (SGAY) were inaugurated and formally handed over to beneficiaries in Yuksam-Tashiding constituency today.

Minister for Tourism & Civil Aviation and Commerce & Industries and area MLA of Yuksam-Tashiding, Mr Tshering T Bhutia, inaugurated the newly constructed houses. Of the 11 houses, three were constructed in Yuksam-Dubdi GPU, two in Khechuperi GPU, four in Melli-Aching GPU and two in Rimbi under Yuksam BAC, Gyalshing district.

Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana is a flagship initiative of the State Government aimed at providing pucca houses and basic amenities to economically weaker and deserving households, thereby improving their quality of life.

Prior to the inauguration, the Minister, accompanied by departmental officials and engineers, inspected the newly constructed houses and reviewed the quality and completion of the works. Following the inspection, the houses were formally handed over to the beneficiaries.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Minister Mr Tshering T Bhutia congratulated them on receiving their new pucca and well-furnished homes. He urged the beneficiaries to remain grateful to the State Government and Hon'ble Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang-Golay for implementing people-centric initiatives and welfare schemes aimed at uplifting economically weaker sections of society. The Minister said that the State Government remains committed to ensuring that every deserving family is covered under the housing scheme.

The Minister also highlighted various welfare schemes and development initiatives being implemented by the State Government, stating that such pro-people policies and programmes were aimed at ensuring inclusive development and improving the socio-economic well-being of the people.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the State Government and Hon'ble Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang-Golay for providing them with safe, pucca homes under the SGAY scheme.

Also present during the inauguration were BDO, Yuksam, Mr Sanman Subba, Panchayat President (Melli-Aching GPU) Mr Deepak Rai, Panchayat President (Khechuperi GPU) Mr Sonam Wangda Bhutia, Gram Panchayat Members from Yuksam-Dubdi, Melli-Aching and Khechuperi GPUs and officials and engineers from Yuksam BAC.
