Zensay Puja for Peace and Protection Concludes at Naga Gumpa

Mangan, February 8 (IPR):

A three-day Zensay Puja was solemnly conducted from 6th to 8th February at Ugen Sangdoling Monastery (Naga Gumpa), Mangan, with the objective of promoting world peace and harmonising the four elements in the sacred hidden land of Sikkim.

On the concluding day, the auspicious Zensay Puja was graciously performed by His Eminence Kyabji Gikme Namgyal (Lachung Rinpoche), drawing large participation from devotees, monks and members of the general public from Chungthang, Toong Naga, Lachung, Lachen and neighbouring areas. The ceremony was marked by deep devotion and collective prayers for peace, protection and well being.

The occasion was graced by Minister, Social Welfare, WCSC&D and Printing & Stationeries Departments cum MLA, Lachen Mangan constituency, Mr Samdup Lepcha. The programme had the esteemed presence of Pipon Lachen and Pipon Lachung, Chairman, Sikkim Welfare Commission, Mr Nim Tshering Lepcha, Chairman (Medicinal Plant Board) Mr Tshering Gyatso Lachenpa, Chairman (Tourism) Mr Sonam Norgay Lachungpa, Chairman (Forest) Mr Pema Wongay Lachungpa, President TAAS Ms Phumpi Bhutia and team from TAAS, Panchayats and general public.

During the ceremony, Lachung Rinpoche distributed 30 Phumpos (traditional pots) to be placed in identified landslide prone zones, symbolising spiritual protection and invoking safety for the people and the land.

The sacred prayer programme was jointly organised by Lachen and Lachung Dzumsa, Chungthang GPU and Toong Naga GPU for the safety, wellbeing and protection of the villages, road connectivity and the region at large.
