Swearing-in Ceremony of State Information Commissioner
Gangtok, October 8 (IPR):
The swearing-in ceremony of the State Information Commissioner, organised by the Department of Personnel, was held today at Lok Bhawan, Gangtok, in the presence of Governor Mr Om Prakash Mathur as the Chief Guest.
Governor Mr Om Prakash Mathur administered the oath of office to the newly appointed State Information Commissioner, Mr Tilak Gajmer, following the reading of the notification of his appointment by Secretary, Home Department, Mr Tenzing T. Kaleon. The appointment was notified by the Department of Personnel vide Notification No. 100/Gen/DOP dated October 6, 2026.
At the commencement of the programme, Special Secretary, Department of Personnel, Ms Thinley Pema Chankapa, delivered the welcome address.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Secretary Mr R. Telang, State Chief Information Commissioner,Mr Kuber Bhandari,Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Mr Jitendra Singh Raje, Secretary, Department of Personnel, Ms Norzing Tsering Shenga, Secretary, State Information Commission, Ms Jyotsna Mary Karthak and officials from the State Information Commission, Department of Personnel, Home Department and other officials.
