Pang Lhabsol Celebrated at Ringhim Rikzing Choeling Gonpa, Mangan
Mangan, August 28 (IPR): The festival of Pang Lhabsol was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Ringhim Rikzing Choeling Gonpa, Mangan, today.
The programme was graced by Minister, Forest and Environment Department, Shri Pintso Namgyal Lepcha; Former MP Shri Hissey Lachungpa; Former Minister Shri Tshering Wangdi Lepcha; OSD, Lachen-Mangan Constituency, Shri Tshering Wangyal Bhutia; Mangan Nagar Panchayat President Ms. Tshering Doma Bhutia; Panchayat President, Ringhim Nampatam GPK, Shri Sherap Bhutia; Ward Panchayat Ms. Moti Tamang; Ambassador, MNP, Shri Rinzing Namgyal Bhutia, along with learned monks, devotees and local residents.
The celebration featured traditional prayers conducted by Ship Rinpoche and the Lamas, seeking peace, harmony and well-being. The programme also included Special Cham, a traditional masked dance performed as a sacred ritual to ward off negative and evil forces and invoke protection and blessings.
The programme concluded with the distribution of holy water and blessings by Rinpoche, marking the auspicious occasion with prayers for peace, prosperity and the well-being of all.
