Gangtok, Sept 25 (IPR): The four-day state-level Indrajatra 2026 celebrations entered their concluding day today with sacred rituals and puja at Bhanu Udhyan, followed by the ceremonial Kumari Rath Jatra through the main thoroughfares of the capital.
The ritual proceedings was attended by Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang as the chief guest.
He was accompanied by Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, MLA-cum-Chief Patron, Indrajatra Celebration Committee (IJCC) 2026, Mr NB Pradhan, President, Sikkim Newar Guthi, Mr MK Pradhan, Chairman, IJCC 2026, Mr Dhiraj Pradhan, and other officials and dignitaries.
The Chief Minister participated in the ceremonial observances, after which Shota Sagun was offered to him.
The ceremonial Kumari Rath Rally subsequently commenced from Bhanu Udhyan, passing through Tibet Road and MG Marg before culminating at Manan Kendra.
Organised by the Sikkim Newar Guthi, the celebrations will continue with the second session at Manan Kendra later today.
