State level program of 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign concluded under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Prem Singh Tamang

State level program concluded grandly under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Prem Singh Tamang under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang today at Manan Kendra. The said program was organized under the supervision of the state government, which was observed as a part of India's 'Azadika Amrit Mahotsav' and the Golden Jubilee of Sikkim.
Chief Minister Tamang in his address thanking Governor Shri Omprakash Mathur and everyone involved it became clear that the orange colour of the national flag is the symbol of courage and sacrifice, white truth and peace, green nature and prosperity and Ashok Chakra is the symbol of progressivity, justice and religion.
He said that the 'Har Ghar Tricolor' campaign aimed at deepening the emotional relationship between citizens and national flag and strengthening the sense of patriotism. On this occasion he also recalled other important national initiatives such as Healthy India, Digital India, Har Ghar Jal, Self-sufficient India and Prime Minister Housing Scheme started by PM Shri Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister noted that Sikkim is established as the ideal state for the country known for natural heritage, clean environment, social harmony and peaceful coexistence. He also informed a district, a production initiative is moving fast in the state.
Stating that the Constitution has provided duty along with rights, he urged everyone to celebrate national events not only as holidays but as an occasion of pride. The Supreme Court also reminded that the right to hoist the national flag in every house. He described the tricolor not just a flag but also a symbol of the sacrifice of the martyrs, the struggle for freedom and the collective aspiration of future generations. In addition to the patriotic programs, he also suggested to include appropriate costumes and cultural presentations in such occasions.
Earlier, the Chief Minister and other guests observed the tricolor photo exhibition organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations, which showcased the history and development of the national flag.
At the end of the program, Special Working Officer (OSD) of the Department of Culture, Mr. Neelam Neupane thanked him.
The program had notable presence of ministers, legislators, Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, District President of Gantok District, Vice President, Mayor of Gantok Municipal Corporation, Deputy Mayor, Adviser, Chairman, Departmental Heads, Special Action Officer (OSD) and officers from various departments.
