“Smart Proposals, Smart Governance” Training on AI Tools for Government Officials Begins in Namchi District.
Namchi, November 5 (IPR):A three-day training programme “Smart Proposals, Smart Governance” commenced today at the Conference Hall, DAC Namchi, today.
The training aimed to enhance the capacity of government officials in utilising Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs).
The programme was jointly organised by District Administrative Centre, Namchi and Sikkim State Council of Science & Technology, under the Department of Science & Technology (DST).
The first day of the session was dedicated to the engineers of Namchi District, under the coordination of Mr Suman Thapa, Director, DST, who also served as the Training Coordinator.
The training team comprised Dr. Prativa Rai (Master Resource Person), Mr Nabeen Sharma (Team Coordinator), Mr Kishore Sharma (Technical RP), Ms Ninaj Sharma, and Mr Ujjal Gautam.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to various AI tools aimed at improving efficiency and innovation in project documentation. The tools demonstrated included ChatGPT for text processing, Gamma for presentation development, Napkin AI for creating infographics and mind maps, Google NotebookLM for research support, Canva AI for design, as well as Mistral AI and Suno AI for creative and analytical applications.
The interactive sessions provided hands-on experience, encouraging trainees to integrate AI-based methods into their routine project preparation and administrative tasks.
