Sikkim Cricket Association Hosts Exhibition Match on Final Day of Inter-Department Tournament

Pakyong, March 01 (IPR): On the concluding day of the Inter-Department Cricket Tournament organised by the Sikkim Cricket Association (SICA), an exhibition match was held today at the Sikkim Cricket Ground, Rangpo, between Chief Minister XI and Chief Secretary XI.

The Chief Minister XI was led by the Chief Minister and Chief Patron of SICA, Mr Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, while the Chief Secretary XI was captained by Chief Secretary Mr R Telang. The match was organised to promote participation among officers and officials from various departments.

The Chief Minister XI batted first and scored 116 runs in 25 overs. The Chief Secretary XI chased the target and won the match by three wickets.

The exhibition match was followed by the final of the 1st Inter-Department Cricket Tournament between the Rural Development Department and the Commerce and Industries Department.
