Minister of State for Defence visits Singhik Secondary School and Health & Wellness Centre Singhik

Mangan, Feb 26 (IPR): Union Minister of State for Defence, Government of India, Mr Sanjay Seth visited Singhik Secondary School, where he was briefed about the activities and achievements of the school by the School Headmaster Mr Sonam Dorjee Bhutia. The Minister also interacted with the faculty and students.

The Minister lauded the school administration and the teachers for maintaining high standards and overall cleanliness and environment-friendly initiatives.

The Minister also visited the Health and Wellness Centre at Singhik.

He took stock of the facility and interacted with the MPHW, MLHP, ANMs and other technical staff. Chief Medical Officer, District Hospital Mangan, Dr. Anita Bhutia, and DRCHO Mangan Dr. Tshering Zomba Lachenpa were also present on the occasion.

It may be mentioned that the Health and Wellness Centre is recognised with National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certification for it’s performance on various parameters.

The Minister of State was accompanied in the visit by Minister for Social Welfare, Mr Samdup Lepcha, DC Mangan Mr Anant Jain, SP Mangan Mr LB Chettri, ADM Mr Pema Wangchen Namkarpa, SDM Mangan Mr Sandeep Kumar, and other officers of the district.
