District Collector Gyalshing Chairs Orientation Programme on Implementation of Aadi KARMAYOGI Abhiyan in Gyalshing District
Gyalshing, September 8 (IPR):An orientation programme on Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, an initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, was held today at the District Administrative Centre (DAC) Conference Hall, Gyalshing.
The programme was chaired by the District Collector, Gyalshing, Mr Tenzing D Denzongpa, with the objective of familiarizing participants with the framework of the Abhiyan. The initiative focuses on strengthening capacity building, enhancing efficiency, and fostering good governance practices among officials working for the welfare and development of tribal communities.
The meeting had the presence of SDM (HQ) Mr Pulkit, Joint Director Education Mr Rajesh Thapa, DCSO Mr Arjun Rai,Deputy Director Agriculture Mr Karma Bhutia, BDOs, ACF Forest Department, Medical Officer District Hospital Gyalshing, and officials from various line departments.
In his keynote address, the District Collector Gyalshing stressed the need for a collaborative approach to ensure that government schemes and welfare measures effectively reach the tribal population. He encouraged participants to adopt innovative practices, uphold accountability, and work with dedication towards strengthening tribal welfare initiatives in the district.
Resource persons emphasised the importance of transparent service delivery, effective policy implementation, and active community engagement to achieve the vision of the Abhiyan.
Earlier,the Welfare Officer Mr Roshan Sharma highlighted that the Abhiyan has been designed with a bottom-to-top approach to ensure effective grassroots implementation. He advised Block Development Officers (BDOs) to prepare vision plans with Block Mission Teams and utilize the expertise of Block Master Trainers (BMTs), who will undergo specialized training from 10th to 12th September 2025. The scheme will be implemented across six blocks covering 23 villages, ensuring widespread outreach and impact
The event marks a significant step towards building a dedicated and efficient workforce committed to the holistic development of tribal communities in Gyalshing district.
The programme concluded with an interactive session, where participants shared their experiences, challenges, and suggestions to further enhance the implementation of the Abhiyan.
