Chief Minister Meets DIG, SSB Gangtok to Strengthen Border Coordination

Gangtok, November 13:

Chief Minister of Sikkim Mr Prem Singh Tamang, met DIG Manish Kumar, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Gangtok, at his official residence, Mintokgang, today. The meeting was held as part of a courtesy visit following DIG Kumar’s recent assumption of charge at the SSB Sector Headquarters, Gangtok.

During the interaction, the Chief Minister extended a warm welcome to the DIG and discussed various aspects of coordination between the State Government and the Sashastra Seema Bal, with a special focus on the safety, security, and welfare of residents in the Indo-Nepal border areas.

The Chief Minister expressed his sincere appreciation for the SSB’s dedicated service in maintaining peace, vigilance, and goodwill across Sikkim’s border regions. He lauded the force’s commitment and close cooperation with the State Government, which have ensured stability and public confidence in these sensitive zones.

DIG Manish Kumar thanked the Chief Minister for the continued support extended to the SSB by the Government of Sikkim. He also expressed the force’s commitment to work in close coordination with the civil administration for the welfare and development of border communities.
