Chief Minister lays foundation stone of Healing Garden cum Wellness Park in Mangan

Mangan, Sept 24 (IPR): In yet another significant development for Mangan district, Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang laid the foundation stone of healing garden cum wellness park near District Hospital Mangan today.

The programme had the presence of Minister for Forest and Environment, cum Area MLA Mr Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, along with Minister Mr Samdup Lepcha, Minister Mr GT Dhungel, Minister Mr Sonam Lama, MLA cum Advisor Mr Thenlay Tshering Bhutia, PCCF cum Secretary Forest Department, Dr. Pradeep Kumar, senior officers of Forest Department, DC Mangan Mr Anant Jain, and other dignitaries.

An initiative of the Forest and Environment Department, the Healing Garden cum Wellness Park conceptualized as the “lungs of the earth” stands as a true embodiment of renewal, sustainability and harmony with nature. Developed as a serene sanctuary, the park is dedicated to promoting health, well-being and environmental balance.

Situated below the District Hospital Mangan, the garden offers thoughtfully designed spaces that encourage reflection, rejuvenation and a deeper connection with nature. Beyond serving as a recreational site, the Healing Garden symbolizes the vital interdependence of human health and the natural environment.

The park also seeks to create awareness on ecological conservation while providing opportunities for eco-tourism and inclusive community engagement. This initiative represents a meaningful step towards fostering collective well-being and sustainable development in the region.
