Ekta Nagar, Gujarat Witnesses First-Ever Tableaux Parade under the Leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Gujarat, October 31 (IPR): Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi graced the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations at Ekta Nagar, marking a historic moment as the venue witnessed the presentation of tableaux for the very first time. The special showcase, organised to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India and architect of national unity, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, stood out as one of the key highlights of the event.
On the occasion, Prime Minister also offered floral tributes at the Statue of Unity, paying his respects to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose vision and leadership laid the foundation of a united India.
Likewise, Prime Minister Modi also administered the “Ekta Diwas Pledge” to all those present at the event, reaffirming the nation’s collective commitment to unity, integrity, and national integration.
Set against the backdrop of the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue, the event featured a display of 10 tableaux designed around the central theme of “Unity.” The tableaux, presented by eight states along with the National Security Guard (NSG) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), captured the spirit of India’s unity in diversity.
Each tableau highlighted the unique identity, culture, and achievements of the participating states and organisations. The participating entities included Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Manipur, Puducherry, Uttarakhand, along with NSG and NDRF, all contributing to the spectacle that celebrated India’s collective strength and solidarity.
During the event, a grand parade was also organised featuring the participation of various state and national contingents, with a special focus on women’s empowerment. Women officers took charge of leading multiple contingents, exemplifying strong, capable, and inspiring leadership.
The parade included participation from several security forces and bands, such as the Border Security Force (BSF) and BSF Band, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and CISF Band, along with police contingents from states including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Tripura. Additionally, the CRPF Band, SSB Band, Delhi Police Band, NCC Foot Contingent, Mounted Contingent (Dog and Horse Squad), Camel Contingent and Camel Mounted Band, and the Cleaning Machine Contingent also took part in the parade.
Adding to the grandeur of the occasion, representatives from Sikkim — comprising members of the Media fraternity, Tourism Department officials, and Self-Help Group (SHG) representatives — were also present at the celebration, witnessing this momentous event that symbolised India’s enduring unity and cultural richness.
