Mangan, 20 Aug (IPR): District Administrative Centre (DAC), Mangan in North Sikkim observed Sadbhavana Diwas, the 75th birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi, today.
On the occasion, District Magistrate, North, Shri Tenzing T. Kaleon, administered Sadbhavana pledge to the officers and staff of DAC, Mangan who were assembled in front of the DAC.
Before administering the Sadbhavana pledge, DM, North, Shri Kaleon, stated that Sadbhavana Diwas is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on 20 August every year.
Furthermore, the main theme of Sadbhavana Diwas is to promote national integration and communal harmony among people of all religion and languages, he added.
