Namchi, 12th July(IPR): Hon’ble Chief Justice High Court of Sikkim Mr Justice Vijai Kumar Bist arrived for a two day tour at Namchi, today. He was accompanied by his spouse Madam Renu Bist, the Registrar General Mr. N.G.Sherpa, Principal Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Justice, Ms Jyoti Kharka, OSD High Court of Sikkim Ms. Subarna Rai.
Upon his arrival the Chief Justice was given a warm welcome by District and Sessions Judge (South) Mr. Jiwan Kharga, Judical Magistrate (South) Ms. Jwala Thapa, DC (South) Mr. Ragul K, SP (South) Mr. Prawin Gurung and other officials from District Court, Namchi. A guard of honour was also presented by IRBn led by Mr. Sonam Pintso Bhutia.The Chief Justice also inspected various divisions under District and Sessions Court, Namchi including the redesigned section, Court of the Judicial Magistrate and Alternate Dispute Redressal Centre.
Thereafter, he met with the members of Namchi BAR Association wherein they briefed the hon’ble Chief Justice regarding the working of this association and presented a memorandum. The Chief Justice also interacted with the advocates in which suggestions, advices and guidance was imparted by his lordship.
The Chief Justice and his spouse also visited Siddheshvara Dham at Solophok, Namchi and offered their prayers.
