Gyalshing, 28 Jun (IPR): District level Swachh Mahotsav 2019 organised by office of the Additional District Collector (Development), RMDD, Gyalshing was held at the conference hall of RMDD Gyalshing.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (HQ), Shri Tushar G. Nikhare, chaired the occasion as chief guest along with the gracious presence of Smt. Zangmoo Bhutia, Vice Chairman, Gyalshing Municipal Council; Shri Surat Gurung, ADC (Dev), RMDD Gyalshing; Shri Saran Kr. Pradhan, DPO WDZP; Shri Raju Bhandari, AD HRDD; and Shri B.B. Thatal, AD, BAC Gyalshing.
The SDM (HQ) motivated and urged the gathering on thoroughly understanding the various responsibilities of common people in the state and a country as a whole on the importance of cleanliness. He encouraged the Panchayats for taking the strict regulatory action in relation to the implementation of the cleanliness.
He expressively praised the kids who had put their exemplary efforts of promoting and contributing in favour through the means of posters & painting so as the message of “ Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” gets different approach and target mortality ahead.
Likewise, he even advised that the Gram Prasashan Kendras should be painted and posters containing useful information resulting the access to basic information would be provided to the public.
The SDM (HQ) then informed about the different categories of tourism aspects and possibilities which if further explored by keeping in context of available assets and along with it the small contributory investments in favour shall directly benefit the society and Sikkim. He requested all for taking absolute measures today,so as future generation can be benefit from their present actions. He also congratulated all the Awardees and appealed to all by performing best works in their respective areas.
On the occasion, Certificate of Appreciation were also conferred by the chief guest to the Best Performing Panchayats, Swachata Grahis, households members and painters in recognization to their commitment and dedication working in the field of Sanitation,ODF Sustainability and SLWM activities.
