Namchi, 22 June: District Legal Services Authority (South and West) and Taluk Legal Services Committee (South and West) in coordination with the Sikkim State Legal Services Authority organized a training programme for Teachers teaching “Lessons in Law” at Officers Club, Car Plaza in Namchi, South Sikkim today.
The programme was launched by Hon’ble Chairman, DLSA (South), Ms. Jiwan Kumar Kharka, in the presence of Secretary, DLSA (South), Ms. Jwala D. Thapa, Ld. Panel Advocates, Ms. Puja Lamachany, Panel Advocate, West Sikkim, Mr. Kumar Sharma, Panel Advocate, South Sikkim, Mr. Bhupendra Giri, Panel Advocate, South Sikkim and Mr. Anjan Sharma, Panel Advocate, South Sikkim.
Topics like Judicial System in India, types of courts, types of laws, the Alternative Disputes Resolution System, Human Rights , Fundamental Rights and Duties Important Laws relevant to Children were covered.
The attendees were Teachers teaching the text book “Lessons in Law” to standard – XI and XI at different schools of South and West Sikkim.
