Mangan, June 6 (IPR): District Magistrate, North, Shri Raj Yadav, (IAS) has decided to initiate the first Thursday of every month as “Cleanliness Drive Day” in the district from today.
Earlier, DAC, Mangan and all governmental offices of the district exercised first Saturday of every months as cleanliness drive day, after the proclamation of the Government of Sikkim as all Saturday as holiday, this distinct initiative has been taken by the DM, North.
DM, North, Shri Yadav has asked all offices located in different parts of the district to undertake cleanliness drive in their premises positively.
In compliance with the direction of the DM, North all employees of the district have undertaken cleanliness drive in their respective offices by cleaning trash and weed out old, clogged drains and unwanted things from government office premises.
All Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDM), Block Development Officers (BDO) and Head of Offices of the district are requested to upload photographs of cleanliness drive activities undertaken by them in their respective offices on DAC WhatsApp Group.
