Jorethang, 2nd June (IPR): The Honorable Chief Minister of Sikkim Mr. Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) visited and attended a meeting at the Healing Centre of Nirvanic Bhawan Nandugoan today.
HCM Mr. Prem Singh Tamang interacted with the devotees and executive members of Sikkim State Heavenly Path Organisation and took stock of the grievances and demands placed before him. He also interacted with the 24 patients who are currently receiving care and attention in the Healing Centre. The HCM after giving a patient hearing to all the demands placed before him assured to appoint Doctors and Physiotherapists in the centre for thr larger good and benefit of the sick and the ailing ones. He also affirmed to lift the State ban on the entry of spiritual leader God Angel to Sikkim within 100 days.
In the later half of the day, the Hon’ble CM chaired a meeting with the South District officials in Namchi. Present in the meeting were DC South Mr. Ragul.K, ADC South Mr. Satyen Pradhan, SDM Namchi Mr. Hemant Rai, SDM Jorethang Mr. Tshering Bhutia and SDPO Namchi Mr. Roshan Gurung alongside other South District officials.
Following incidents of sporadic violence in and around Namchi, the HCM assessed the Law & Order situation in the district and emphasized peace and harmony to be maintained by the authorities. He also issued orders to the Police Department to take the stern action against the individuals found guilty irrespective of their party affiliation. The Hon’ble CM also took a comprehensive review of the monsoon preparedness by the concerned stakeholders of the district and underlined the implications and hazards of monsoons and urged the officials to ensure public safety and convenience.
It may be mentioned here that the HCM made several halts along the way to Namchi where he grreted and interacted with the general public.
