Gnathang, April 5 (IPR): The General Observer for east district, Ms. Mousumi Chattaraj Chaudhuri, IAS today visited the far flung areas of Thegu, Kupup, Gnathang and Zuluk polling stations to review the arrangements of Polling stations. It is to be mentioned here that these polling stations are the farthest and highest altitude polling stations in the East district. The General Observer took stock of the arrangements put in place for the convenience of the voters on polling day (April 11).
The General Observer reviewed the facilities being provided at the polling stations including water, electricity, toilet, cleanliness, facilities for specially-abled voters, transport facilities etc to different polling stations.
The General Observer Ms. Mousumi stressed on the officials and field staffs (BLOs, FST, VST,) to work in close coordination with each other to ensure smooth conduct of the election process on polling day.
