Training for the Dispatching, Receiving and Commissioning Team’ successfully concluded in West Sikkim

Gyalshing 28th March 2019 (IPR): The Training for the Dispatching, Receiving and Commissioning Team was held at the Conference Hall, Zilla Panchayat Bhawan, Gyalshing. DC-cum-DEO West, Shri. Karma R. Bonpo chaired the training along with ADC West, Shri. Karma L. Lepcha; SDM (HQ), Shri. Tushar G. Nikhare; Shri. Sonam G. Bhutia, S.E (Buildings) and Deputy CPAO, Shri. K.B Subba were also present in the Training.
The DC in his address to the trainees informed as well as instructed them to follow and work in accordance to the working norms of ECI and for which he asked them to make sure to check the materials in polling bag according to the checklist. While stressing the importance of Mock Polls to the trainees, he asked them to perform it without fail.
While informing about VVPAT, Shri. Bonpo asked them to handle it with extreme care by keeping in context of its delicate and fragile inner architecture. He also instructed them for keeping forms, seals and other important subsidiary materials of the election in safe arrangements just in case of sudden weather obstruction occurs. Furthermore, he informed that necessary allotment of vehicle arrangements shall be made for the each constituency so that there will be no difficulty in transportation of any kind. Lastly, he asked them to work whole heartedly and urged them to make this election process successful with less or no errors.
ADC, West also briefed the trainees on the important aspects of mandatory guidelines of ECI for commissioning of EVMs which they need to perform and adhere to during the course of election process.
SDM (HQ) instructed the trainees on the importance of the filing of the paper works after the polling materials are brought at the District Headquarter and also the issuance of relieving orders to the Polling Personnel.
A Hands-on training to the trainees was also conducted. A total of 52 trainees were present for the training.
