Gangtok, 08 Feb (IPR): The Election Commission of India (ECI) organised a video conference with Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) of 20 different states and Union Territories of India on preparatory of Roll out of EVM Management system for general election.
The Deputy Election Commissioner, ECI, Shri. Sudeep Jain chaired the video conference.
Chief Electoral Officers of 20 States and Union Territories viz; Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Daman, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and West Bengal attended the video conference.
Shri. Sudeep Jain informed that ECI is going to launch new software called EMS on February 25th for upcoming general election. The new software will replace old ETS software that is used by the Commission.
