Jorethang, January 17th(IPR): A State level AROGYA Fair organized by the Ministry of Ayush in coordination with the Healthcare, Human Services and Family Welfare Department in association with Jorethang Maghey Sankranti Mela, 2019 is being held at Garib Utthan Bhawan in Jorethang. This fair was inaugurated by SLA Speaker Mr. K.N. Rai on the first day of Maghey Sankranti.
The fair aims to create awareness among the members of the public about the efficiency of the AYUSH systems, their cost-effectiveness and the availability of herbs and plants used for prevention and treatment of common ailments so as to achieve the objective of good health for all.
This year the AYUSH fair includes display of sales of medicines, herbal products and study materials alongwith free health check up and consultation from the doctor. Additionally, the fair also has demonstration on yoga and counselling by experts on Unani, Siddha, Ayurveda and homeopathic and on many more relevant sections of AYUSH.
