Ms Anupa Tamling DC Namchi chaired the prepatory meeting for the upcoming Bhanu Jayanti celebration, 2024 at Conference Hall of District Administrative Centre, today.The meeting had the presence of Ms Anupa Tamling DC Namchi, Dr T N Gyatso Sr SP, Mr Subash Ghimirey ADC ( HQ), Mr Gopal K Chettri SDM ( HQ), Mr Saran Kalikotay SDM Namchi along with other officers from various line departments and the members of Dakshin Sikkim Sahitya Sammelan.
During the meeting, DC Namchi assigned the officers and representative of the line departments to incorporate their ideas and suggestions in order to make the celebration remarkable.
ADC(HQ) also encouraged the respective line departments to follow up on their duties and to make this event a grand success.
Likewise, Mr Gopal K Chettri addressed about the significance of the celebration and the importance of Nepali language and culture.
It was informed that this year’s celebration will host various competitions for school students,which will begin from 11th July until 13th July. Some of the competitions will include,Ramayan path, Poem Recitation, sit and drawing/painting competition and folk dances at Officer’s Club.
