Gangtok, June 13 (IPR): Chief Secretary, Mr VB Pathak, convened a meeting in Teesta Lounge of Tashiling Secretariat this morning to discuss the preparations for the State-level celebration of 10th International Yoga Day scheduled to be held at Paljor Stadium on June 21.
The meeting was attended by Mr AK Singh, Director General of Police (DGP), Mr R Telang-Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Heads of various Departments, GMC Commissioner, DC-Gangtok, SP-Gangtok, and other officers of the state Government.
The Chief Secretary provided an overview of the necessary arrangements for the occasion and discussed in detail the activities assigned to each of the departments and the event flow of the programme.
A brief interaction session took place, wherein the attendees put forth their recommendations.
For information, the venue for the event is subject to weather conditions; incase of inclement weather, the event will be held in Indoor Gymnasium of Paljor Stadium.
