The final round of training for Counting officials concludes in Gyalshing District

Gyalshing, May 29(IPR):The final round of training for Micro Observers under Gyalshing district for the General Elections 2024 concluded today at the Conference Hall of Zilla Bhawan Kyongsa.
The training session had the presence of Ms. Pari Bishnoi (IAS) ADC-cum-Returning Officer,
Mr. Santosh K. Allay Nodal Officer, Postal Ballot-cum-DPO Zilla, Ms. KSC Tongden Lepcha DLMT-cum-SE Power, Mr Bishwa B Raj Gurung JD(SMLGDC/ADM)-cum-Nodal officer Manpower Management,Mr. Rajesh Thapa ALMT-cum-Deputy Director of Education and officials from the Election Department.
The session taken by State Level Master Trainer/Returning Officer (RO) Ms. Pari Bishnoi, IAS emphasized the pivotal role of Micro Observers(MOs) in upholding democratic principles and ensuring the fairness of the counting process.
The training covered various aspects of the counting procedure, including major legal provisions related to counting and election results, EVMs and postal ballots counting tabulation teams, duties of staff on counting tables, layouts of counting halls and tables, scrutinizing of Forms 13A, 13B, and 13C, grounds of rejections, inspection and checking of CUs, unsealing of CUs, filling Part-II of Form 17C, special cases related to CU, counting of VVPAT slips and Declaration of results.
She insisted all to be present at sharp 5am to the counting centre and further stressed that any negligence from the part of Counting Officials would result in disciplinary action by the commission.
The day saw a total of 64 counting officials in the session.
