Training on counting procedures commenced for counting staff in Gyalshing District.

Gyalshing, May 14 (IPR):The first day of a comprehensive training session on counting procedures was conducted at the Zilla Panchayat Bhawan, Kyongsa, today. The training, held in two sessions, aimed to equip counting supervisors and counting assistants with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure a smooth and transparent counting process.
The training session witnessed the presence of Mr. M. Bharani Kumaar, IAS, DEO/DC Gyalshing who addressed the participants, highlighting the pivotal role of counting officials in ensuring the credibility and legitimacy of the electoral process. Mr. Kumaar highlighted the importance of upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in carrying out their duties, emphasizing adherence to the general guidelines on the counting procedure.
The session was further facilitated by the Postal Ballot (Nodal Officer)/DPO (Zilla), Mr.SK Allay, and DLMT/SE (Power), Ms. KSC Tongden Lepcha, who navigated participants through various facets of counting procedures, encompassing EVM counting, postal ballot counting, prescribed formats for reporting, declaration of results, and the paramount importance of maintaining accuracy and transparency throughout the process.
The training program also featured hands-on sessions on postal ballot counting elucidating Form 13 A, Form 13 B, and Form 13 C, enriching participants’ comprehension and proficiency.
