Gangtok, 03 Nov (IPR): Workshop on National e-Vidhan Application (Neva) which was undergoing at Sikkim Legislative Assembly Secretariat concluded today whereby the resource persons from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Sameer Varshney (NeVA Manager) and Ms. Priyanka Barthwal (Coordinator NeVA) provided hands-on practical based training on data entry to all the participants.
The second day of the workshop commenced with a brief deliberation from the Additional Secretary (Debates) on procedure of questioning employed by Sikkim Legislative Assembly.
The first half of second day’s Session comprising of the resource persons from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs provided mock training to the officials and staff of the Editorial and Debates Section, Legislative & Parliamentary Section and Committee Section of Sikkim Legislative Assembly Secretariat respectively. Officers from other government Departments were also provided with hands-on experience on the data entry process during the workshop.
The resource persons from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs were bestowed with token of appreciation by the Secretary, Sikkim Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Shri L.M. Pradhan, at the end of the two day Orientation Workshop.
Correspondingly, the Joint Secretary (IT) Mr. Jigmee Ongchuk Bhutia proposed vote of thanks to the Hon’ble Speaker, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker and the Secretary for their valuable cooperation in making the concept of e-Vidhan a reality in Sikkim Legislative Assembly.
