Gyalshing, April 9(IPR): The final briefing session for the first batch on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) to Polling Teams under Gyalshing district was held at Auditorium, Government Girls Senior secondary School Kyongsa, Gyalshing today.
The main objective of the final briefing session was to thoroughly familiarise the trainees on EVM and documentation process during the poll day.
Ms Pari Bishnoi (IAS), RO-cum-ADC Gyalshing briefed the processes involved through power point presentation and also discussed importance of the efficiency of the officers and all involved with the election-related tasks.
The session was also led by DIO (NIC) District Level Master Trainer-(DLMT). The trainees were briefed about the various components of EVM and procedures for material management. Electoral procedures and the responsibilities of the attendees were also revised.
Thereafter, the session also had a hands-on training to familiarise the attendees with the topics covered in the training, assuring address of queries, if any.
The polling process and hands on tranning was supervised by Ms KSC Tongden Lepcha District Level Master Trainer- cum- SE Power,Mr Narayan Basnet Principal Hee Yangthang Senior Secondary School cum- (ALMT) and Mr Rajesh Thapa Dupty Director-(ALMT).
