Pakyong, 28 March (IPR): The scrutiny of nomination papers for candidates who have filed their nominations for the General Election 2024 has been conducted at the offices of Mr Tashi Chophel, the Returning Officer for the constituencies of 18-West Pendam AC, 21-Gnathang Machong, and 22-Namcheybung, and Ms Anupa Tamling, the Returning Officer for the 19-Rhenock and 20-Chujachen constituencies.
During the process, a thorough review was conducted for a total of 28 nominations across five Assembly constituencies.
Out of these, two substitute nominations were rejected as per the regulations of the Election Commission of India, as the nominations of the main candidates were accepted.
The list of validly nominated candidates whose names were approved by the Pakyong District Returning Officers is as outlined below:
