Form 12 postal ballot exchanged by the districts at the State Level Exchange Centre.

Pakyong, 16 March (IPR): The exchange of Form 12 of the postal ballot of districts at the State Level Exchange Centre was carried out today in accordance with the electoral procedures in Sikkim. The process took place at the State Level Exchange Centre located at the Rangpo Tourist Facilitation Centre today.
The task was overseen by Ms Anupa Tamling, ADC Pakyong, in coordination with district Nodal Officers for Postal Ballot.
The recent activity involved the exchange of Form 12 postal ballots for Category 1 Batch 2 and Category 2 (Sub Category 1) Batch 1 for all six districts of Gyalshing, Namchi, Gangtok, Soreng, Pakyong, and Mangan. These districts, encompassing various administrative functions, form a vital part of the electoral process in the state.
The Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) were strictly adhered to during the exchange to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
A system was established to guarantee the secure retention of the acknowledgment slip, serving as irrefutable evidence of the Form 12 exchange.
Each form underwent a meticulous verification process before being handed over to the designated nodal officers responsible for postal ballots in the respective districts.
A crucial step in the exchange process involved the signing of an acknowledgment slip in format 3 by both the Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) issuing the bundle and the ARO receiving it. This slip serves as crucial documentation that attests to the completion of the Form 12 exchange, highlighting the importance placed on maintaining meticulous records and following established protocols in electoral operations.
During the exchange, the district-specific cartons containing the forms were handed over to their respective districts at the State Level Exchange Centre. The forms were thoroughly checked and verified, and then handed over to the respective nodal officers for postal ballots in the concerned district. This methodical procedure is implemented to ensure transparency and precision in the electoral process.
