The national vector borne disease control programme and integrated disease surveillance programme

Namchi, 9th October (IPR): The national vector borne disease control programme and integrated disease surveillance programme under Health and Welfare Department has launched fogging drives in disaster affected areas in the state. This drive commenced from 6th October onwards at Singtam, Rangpo, Adarshgaon, Sriwani, Mamring and at temporary relief camps under namchi district. The team will head towards North Sikkim on 10th October for fogging drills.
The team of 05 personnels was led by Director, Health Services State Programme Officer Dr. D.C. Sharma.
The fogging has been conducted at the various silt and sludg lying in the disaster hit areas which could lead to an outbreak of vector born diseases. The fogging operation is being done at various temporary relief camps as well to reduce and control disease outbreak.
