Mangan 24th August (IPR): DC- cum- Chairperson (DTFI) Shri. Hem kumar Chettri chaired a District Taskforce meeting on IMI (intensified mission indradhanush), Deworming, and Routine Immunization in the D.C Chamber.
The meeting had the presence of CMO, DRCHO Mangan Hospital, Deputy Director (Education) Mangan, CDPO (Chungthang,Mangan,Dzongu) and representatives of concerned departments.
The meeting addressed several key aspects related to immunization:
Dr. Таra Gautam, (DRCHO), delivered a concise presentation on the District Task Force Immunization for August 2023.
She spoke about the 3 criteria in regards to the topic MR Elimination , including MR. (Measles and Rubella) Vaccination Coverage, Non-Measles Non-Rubella Discard Rate, and Measles/Rubella incidence.
MR Vaccination coverage from April to July 2023 was reported as well.This data likely pertains to the immunization effort in the district.
The meeting discussed IMI (intensified mission indradhanush) 5.0, indicating that 3 rounds were scheduled within three months. The rounds were set for August 7-12 August,11-16 September and 9- 14 October.
Additionally she also mention of National Deworming Day suggests that deworming efforts are integrated into the immunization program.
She also outlined a biannual program with the first round scheduled for March 10th and the second round for August 24th. The target beneficiaries for this program include aged 1-19 years, and it seems to be focused on schools and anganwadi centers.
Out-of-School Children Lastly, the report briefly mentions efforts to deworm out-of-school children, emphasizing a comprehensive approach to reach all eligible beneficiaries.
An update on the allergenic registry for routine vaccination under the U-win portal was discussed, emphasizing the importance of updating vaccination statuses. Training for this purpose was conducted on August 4th.
