Gangtok, August 18th (IPR): Chief Secretary, Government of Sikkim, Shri V.B. Pathak, administered “Meri Maati Mera Desh” pledge to all the Heads of Department, Officers and Government Officials assembled in front of Tashiling Secretariat, today.
The Chief Secretary administered the pledge for “Meri Maati Mera Desh” and “Veeron ka Vandan”, which envisages a united front in Honouring the Soil and Saluting the Bravehearts of the country.
“Meri Maati Mera Desh” is a nationwide campaign, launched on 9th August 2023, with the objective to pay tribute to the ‘Veers’ who laid down their lives for the country. This campaign is the concluding event of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ which began on 12th March 2021.
The pledge was also observed in all the State Government Departments located in the Gangtok district.
