Pakyong, April 17: Cooperation Department- Pakyong, under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahatsav, conducted a 15-day long training on “Bamboo Handicrafts” at Tarethang Van Dhan Vikas Kendra today.
Master trainers Shri Phurba Tamang and Shri Norbu Lepcha initiated the training for 35 beneficiaries of the Van Dhan Vikas Kendra.
Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojna (PMVDY) is a project under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, which aims at capacity building and increasing the income of the tribal population of the state.
The managing committee of the Van Dhan Vikas Kendra and departmental officers were also present during the training.
