Gangtok, April 1, 2023: The retiring officers namely Principal Director Dr Tilotama Bajgai, Director Dr Madan K Shivshankar, Joint Director Nirmal Rai,Joint Secretary Shanti Diyali
and three transferred officers of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Department were awarded a warm farewell in a special programme organised at the Extension and Training hall of Animal Husbandry Department yesterday.
Secretary, AH&VS Dr P Senthil Kumar, IFS graced the occasion to bid farewell to the retiring and transferred officers in the presence of Principal Director, AH&VS Dr BM Chettri.
Retiring and transferred officers were honoured with flowers, khada, souvenir and gifts as a token of memories by all individuals.
Retiring Pr.Director Dr. T Bajgai, in her address, expressed gratitude for the honour and reminisced the memories of working in the department in various capacities and also assured to be available to provide technical inputs in need even after the retirement. She has thanked the Honorable Chief Minister for timely promotion and Cadre review that was approved by the government recently.
Retiring Director Dr Madan K Shivshankar thanked the Department for the support he received during his tenure.He made a special remark by saying, “I am retired but not old.”
Secretary AH&VS, applauded the retiring Pr Director,and Joint Director for their outstanding and remarkable service and expressed gratitude on behalf of the state government for putting brilliant effort in transforming the livestock farming sector, wild life sector and for being an inspiration to others.
