Press Release issued by Samagra Shiksha Education Department Government of Sikkim

A two days Orientation Programme for North Eastern Region on External Evaluation and School Accreditation for Education Officials on Shaala Siddhi was held in the conference hall of NRS Kingston Hotel, Development Area, Gangtok on 30th & 31st March 2023 under the aegis of National Institute of Educational Planning & Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha, State Project Office, Education Department.
The event was graced by Shri Milan Subba, Director, State Project Office, Samagra Shiksha, Education Department, as the Chief Guest followed by Shri T.B. Subba, Additional Director cum Chief Accounts Officer, Samagra Shiksha, Gangtok as the Guest of Honour. The event had the participation of officials from Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim along with District Education Officials, Block Education officials, BRC’s, CRC’s, District Coordinators (Shaala Siddhi) and School Heads of various schools of the Sikkim.
The main objective of organizing this workshop by NIEPA, New Delhi are to deliberate and discuss on current status of Shaala Siddhi programme and strategies for its effective implementations in the Northeastern Region.
Professor Pranati Panda, Head of Department of School & Non- Formal Education, NIEPA, New Delhi and other officials from NIEPA, New Delhi, Professor Rasmita Das Swain and Assistant Professor Shri A.N. Reddy, gave an elaborate presentation on the various aspects and key features of Shaala Siddhi during the two days workshop.
The Chief Guest Shri Milan Subba, Director, State Project Office, Samagra Shiksha, Education Department addressed the august gathering and shared his thoughts on the day’s event. He urged all the participants to have a clear understanding of the various aspects of Shaala Siddhi Programme for better implementation of the programme in the state and extended his best wishes to everyone.
Group discussions, interactive session among the participants of the North-east states and state report presentation on implementation of Shaala Siddhi by the participants were some of the highlights of the final day of the workshop.
Finally, the two days event concluded with the valedictory and the participants were awarded certificates of participation at the end of the days event.
