DC Pakyong along with DIG SHQ SSB and Superintendent of Police Pakyong attended the closing ceremony of a 30-day-long skill development welfare programme

Pakyong, March 31st (IPR): District Collector- Mr. Tashi Chophel along with Mr. Balwan Singh-DIG SHQ SSB and Mr. Karma Gyamtso Bhutia- Superintendent of Police Pakyong attended the closing ceremony of a 30-day-long skill development welfare programme organised by the 69 Bn Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Rangpo, for the border populace today at Rongli Community Hall.
The programme, which commenced on March 1, 2023, aimed to provide basic training to the youth residing in the border areas. The programme included training in basic computer courses for 66 trainees, motor vehicle training for 25 trainees, and training on organic farming for 34 trainees. The total number of youths who took part in the skill development welfare programme was 125.
DIG SHQ SSB gave a briefing on the three welfare initiatives for skill development and how they would help the participants. Additionally, he congratulated the participants on finishing the course successfully and urged them to use their skills to build a better future for both themselves and their community.
Speaking at the event, DC Pakyong lauded the efforts of the SSB in organising the programme and emphasised the importance of such initiatives in promoting skill development and welfare in the border areas. He also thanked the participants for their active participation and encouraged them to make the best use of their newly acquired skills.
During the ceremony, certificates were distributed to the participants who successfully completed the training programme. Additionally, the youth who received motor vehicle training were also issued learner’s permits.
The programme also had the presence of the Joint Director, Education Department, SDPO Rongli, BDO Regu, SSB officials and
all the directors of driving, computer, and agriculture institutions.
