Soreng, 31 March, (IPR): The Opening Ceremony of Golden Jubilee Celebration of Government Junior High School Chumbung Budang Soreng District was celebrated at the School’s Playground today. The event commenced from 31st March to 5th April.
The event was graced by the chief guest Area MLA Soreng Chakung Constituency Shri Aditya Golay and he was accompanied by the Political Secretary to HCM Shri Jacob Khaling, ADC (Dev.) Soreng Shri Gaayas Pega, SDM Soreng Shri Sunny Kharel, BDOs, Ex Army Veterans, HODs from the various line departments and Panchayat members.
The event included various programme such as Men’s Hill Open Volley Tournament, Tug of War Men’s and Women’s, Inter School Dance Competition, Display of Stalls by the Chumbung SHG, Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom Chumbung Branch and Exibition by the Government Junior High School Chumbung.
Shri Golay in his addressed congratulated the Organizing Committee for the celebration of Golden Jubilee of Junior High School Chumbung Budang. He thanked all the alumni for the service and contribution towards building the Junior High School. He said that the career counseling to be conducted soon for the students and young students should opt for the professional course in future days.
Shri Aron Subba briefed about the history and Establishment of the Junior High School Chumbung Budang. Presentation of Souvenir was presented to the chief guest by the Organising Committee.
Girl’s Pipe Band display was performed by the Government Senior Secondary School Chakung, Dance performed by the Government Secondary School Chumbung, ADD Home Chakung, Junior High School Chumbung Budang, Sikkim United Soreng Singling and Ramam Hidden Valley Academy 5th Mile Budang and Welcome song was performed by Junior High School Chumbung Budang.
The First match of Men’s Hills Open Volleyball Tournament was played between Daramdin Vs Rising Boyz Radhu and the match was won by Daramdin. The second match was played between N.R.S.C Budang Vs Lingten VC West Bengal and the match was won by N.R.S.C Budang.
